I’m currently in residence with the Body in Mind team at University of South Australia, Sansom Institute for Health Research.
This delightful team have a group lunch every Tuesday that includes a presentation from a visitor or from a member of the group on their latest project.
Today’s presentation was from Ina Bornkessel-Schlesewsky who specialises in the neurobiology of language and is developing a model of language processing. Her research uses EEG, fMRI and beahvioural techniques (e.g. eye tracking). Over lunch she discussed similarities and differences in responses to spoken absurdities and reading font in texts.
Fascinating research and grounds for another artwork.
